THE NARROW PATH OF HOPE

DISCIPLESHIP. HOPE. RESTORATION. PURPOSE.

MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES

The Narrow Path of Hope Mental Health resource Page.

Mental health matters. Struggling is not a sign of weakness, and it does not mean something is fundamentally wrong with you. It means you are human, carrying something heavy — and that asking for help is one of the bravest things a person can do. This page is here to point you to real support. You do not have to manage alone.

UNDERSTANDING MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health is about how we think, feel, and cope with the pressures of everyday life. Like physical health, it exists on a spectrum — it can be good, difficult, or somewhere in between, and it can change over time.

Mental health challenges affect people from every background, at every stage of life. They are not a character flaw, a spiritual failing, or something to be ashamed of. Depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, burnout — these are real experiences with real causes, and they respond to real help.

If you are not sure whether what you are experiencing counts as a mental health problem, it does not matter. If you are struggling, that is enough reason to reach out.

GETTING SUPPORT

These organisations offer free, specialist support for people experiencing mental health difficulties.

SELF-HELP AND WELLBEING

Small steps matter. These tools and resources can help you look after your mental wellbeing day to day.

FAITH AND MENTAL HEALTH

Faith can be a genuine source of comfort, community, and meaning for people going through mental health difficulties. A church or faith community can offer belonging, practical support, and people who will sit with you in hard times.

At the same time, mental health challenges are real and medical. Prayer and community are companions to professional help — not replacements for it. If you are struggling, please reach out to a GP, a therapist, or one of the organisations above, as well as leaning on your faith community. There is no conflict between the two. Discover our faith on our NPH faith page.

For those where financial stress is adding to the pressure, the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute works at the intersection of both: https://www.moneyandmentalhealth.org

You can also find financial guidance and practical support on our Financial Guidance page.

FOR CARERS AND LOVED ONES
